An New Living Space: Attic Conversion Finglas.

Challenge:

With a growing family and limited storage, this Finglas home needed more usable space. The existing attic was underutilized, and the layout below offered little room for access. The goal was to design a safe, seamless stair addition and convert the attic into a bright, functional new room that blended effortlessly with the rest of the home.

Solution:

We designed and executed a full attic conversion, with a bespoke staircase build that integrated naturally with the existing landing. The new top floor includes a large Velux window landing for light flow, fresh plaster finishes, new electrics, and a fully insulated attic space with twin roof windows. Every stage, from structure to finishing was handled with precision to ensure the conversion met building regulations and maximized light and comfort.

Customization:

Every detail was designed for practicality and long-term comfort:

-Compact pine staircase built to blend seamlessly with existing floors.

-Bright landing with rooflight and built-in storage access for smart use of space.

-Dual Velux windows to flood the attic with natural light.

-Laminate floors and timber finishes for a warm, modern feel.

-Full insulation for comfort in every season.

Result:

A bright, airy top floor that adds real value and functionality to the home. The finished space feels open, inviting, and seamlessly connected to the rest of the house—proving that even compact attics can become standout living areas when designed with intention.
